Carrick Way Project

"The Carrick Way Project" was born out of the first Carrick Walking Festival and is developing a path network in the historic Carrick division of South Ayrshire. The hills are at the west end of Scotland’s Southern Uplands.

This page gives a taste of landscapes to be seen on the Carrick Way, a glimpse at the ongoing construction and, finally, walkers enthusiastically exploring the unfolding route.

You may recognise a few of the places - but then you may not as the Carrick Way will lead you along ancient routes which have seldom been walked in the last 50 years.
